Enough is enough (Adel Routledge)

FOSP note: this letter appeared in the Comox Valley Record on August 25, 2009.

Re: Proposed Clayoquot Wilderness Resort’s horse tours through “my” provincial park

Truly, enough is enough. Can these people not understand the meaning of the word no? This application should never have been accepted, considering the recent history of this wilderness park and its problems.

Many of us have spent thousands of hours and dollars defending, working and blockading in this park as far back as the 1980s and earlier.

When Clayoquot Wilderness Resort and the present staff, ministers, etc. of BC Parks have been consigned to the dustbin of history and well and truly forgotten, Strathcona Wilderness Park will still be there for our grandchildren’s grandchildren to enjoy.

I and many, many others will make damned sure it survives intact, as we have in the past.

Do not push the general public to the wall once again on this one. J. David,

Adel Routledge,

Cumberland
